Last year, they were selling an XBOX360 for only $100. It was a first-come, first-served type of deal that almost crashed the website. They sold out in a matter of seconds. They then smartly changed it to a lottery type of sale. And people were a lot happier after that.

This is how it works. For about a week, Amazon will feature 3 products everyday. You pick which one you want to see sold under Amazon’s heavily discounted price. Then if the product you voted for wins, you’re entered into a lottery for a chance to purchase that product for the special price. Simple right?
